Funny Witty Buffalo is a small local business owned and run by a North Tonawanda mom.

Even though I wasn’t born in WNY, I’ve lived here since 1999, and I’ve come to consider myself a Buffalonian. The start of my life here was a bit challenging, and the reason for that was winter, of course.

The place I grew up in, central Romania, had normal winters, the kind of winters that come, bring reasonable amounts of snow, and, after about three months, leave.

We all know that's not how Buffalo winters are. Buffalo winters are long, gloomy, and have snow bands and lake effect that can turn a few inches of snow predictions into four feet of snow by morning realities.

It’s easy to get depressed about that kind of winter, but, what’s the use? Depression and misery only make winter seem longer. A better choice is to joke about the snow and gloom. It doesn’t make them go away, but it makes them easier to handle. Plus, good natured humor makes us more pleasant to be around.

With that philosophy in mind, I started Funny Witty Buffalo as a place of sharing thoughts, phrases, and clothing designs that bring laughs or show something witty or nice about Buffalo.

I hope this kind of content and products bring more smiles into your day and serve as reminders that life as a Buffalonian can be fun. It’s all a matter of mindset. ❤️
